Mônica Bergamo: Mortality in the Covid ICU at Emílio Ribas, in SP, is below the average of public hospitals

A survey carried out by the Associação de Medicina Intensiva Brasileira (Amib) reveals that the ICU of the Instituto de Infectologia Emílio Ribas, in São Paulo, recorded a mortality rate of 34.17% among patients hospitalized with Covid-19, against an average of 51. % in other public hospitals in São Paulo and 29.50% in private ones.

The survey, based on data from April 2020 to October 2021, still shows that 36.66% of patients had a stay of more than seven days in Emílio’s ICU, compared to 56.10% in other hospitals and 52.20% in the state’s private services.
