With 8 new chemotherapy positions, Metropolitan General’s chemotherapy department was expanded, upgrading the infrastructure for oncology patients.

It is a new department, fully equipped, which includes specially designed rooms for the accommodation of patients with oncological, neurological and rheumatological diseases undergoing short intravenous treatments (e.g. immunotherapies, chemotherapy, etc.).

At Metropolitan General, holistic treatment of oncological cases is provided with integrated and specialized services for the investigation, diagnosis, treatment and supportive treatment of neoplasms. The treatment includes the most modern therapeutic protocols for the administration of chemotherapy regimens, hormonal therapies, immunotherapies, biological therapies, targeted therapies as well as regional treatments such as chemoembolization, cauterization of tumors using radio frequencies (RF ablation) or microwave ablation, tumor cryocoagulation (cryoablation) or combinations thereof.

The most sophisticated treatments are applied individually according to international guidelines, adapted to the genetic and general health profile of each patient as well as to the patho-anatomical and molecular characteristics of their disease, in each phase of it.
