The application process for the “Dentist Pass” program ends tomorrow, Friday, December 22, at 11:59 p.m.

“Dentist Pass” is the preventive dental care program of the Ministry of Health for children aged 6 to 12 yearsfinanced with resources from the Recovery Fund.

It started on May 23, 2023 and already more than 233,000 children have benefited. Beneficiaries, regardless of financial criteria, submit an application on the program’s electronic platform or through K.E.P, in order to receive the financial aid amounting to 40 euros, per beneficiary child.

The financial aid is credited to the beneficiary parent or guardian in the form of an immaterial debit card, which remains valid for six calendar months in addition to the month in which it was issued, and can be used in dental/orthodontic clinics located in Greece that have a POS with a relevant code.

The aid is received, on behalf of the child, by an adult natural person who exercises parental care or guardianship or guardianship of or provides insurance coverage for the child, acting as the child’s representative for the purposes of this Program.

The program highlights the importance of preventive dentistry, as well as proper information for parents and children and includes oral hygiene control, cleaning and plaque removal, fluoridation and providing relevant instructions.

The Dentist Pass is part of the action “Implementation of the Spyros Doxiadis National Public Health Prevention Program” of the Ministry of Health and is implemented by the MAE Information Society, within the framework of the “National Recovery and Resilience Plan Greece 2.0” with funding from the European Union-NextGenerationEU.
