by

The obese who have recovered from Covid-19 are better protected from coronavirus compared to those who are normal or underweight because of the higher number of antibodies they have, according to a study published on Thursday by Sheba Medical Center in Israel

Research has shown that obese people infected and cured with Covid-19 have a better immune response. According to the Israeli study, among those who had the disease, those with a body mass index above 30 were found to have more antibodies at all intervals compared to those with a body mass index. under 30.

Also noteworthy is the study’s conclusion that although the amount of antibodies decreases over time in both those who have become ill and those who have been vaccinated, the quality of the antibodies improves. only after someone gets sick and not after being vaccinated.

The results of the study will be presented at the European Conference on Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, to be held in April in Lisbon.
