The Ministry of Health, monitoring the epidemiological data throughout the country and especially in areas with increased viral load, such as Northern Greece and Thessaly, expands the cooperation of the National Health System (NSS) with the private health sector.
By decision of the Minister of Health Thanos Plevris and the Deputy Minister of Health, Mina Gaga and after a suggestion of the governors of the competent Health Regions (YPE) and the Monitoring and Coordination Team of the Management of patients with Covid in the Hospitals has signed Disposal Decisions, as provided by the relevant legislation, with 11 private clinics in Thessaloniki, Larissa, Volos, Karditsa, Trikala and Kozani.
In addition, in addition to the 296 beds already available, Selling Decisions were signed for:
– 155 beds for Covid-19 cases
– 191 single beds for non Covid-19
– 12 beds in Intensive Care Units (ICU)
– 10 beds in Enhanced Care Units (MAF)
To date, a total of 405 beds for Covid cases have been provided with their staff for the treatment of Covid patients, while 231 single beds, mainly for pathological and surgical cases, 18 ICUs and 10 MAFs have been allocated for non-Covid cases.
In total, the beds that have been allocated to the National Health System by private structures amount to 664 beds.
