Auxiliary staff contracts in Military Hospitals and NI.M.T.S. can be extended until 31/12/2025 to deal with emergencies due to COVID-19
All those active on December 31, 2024 contracts of auxiliary staff (medical, nursing and all other types of staff) of the Military Hospitals as well as of the Nursing Foundation of the Army Equity Fund (NI.M.TS.), may – with a relevant ministerial decision – be extended by the their expiration for a period of time, which will not exceed December 31, 2025, to deal with emergencies caused by the emergence and spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus.
“By providing the possibility of extending the contracts of auxiliary staff of the Military Hospitals and the NI.M.T.S. for another year, we are addressing staff shortages by ensuring that military hospitals operate at the best possible staffing and capacity. For the Ministry of National Defense, after all, strengthening the health structures of the Armed Forces is a top priority” emphasized the Deputy Minister of National Defense Ioannis Kefalogiannis.
“With the draft law that we presented to the cabinet in October, among other things, hospital staffing is to be improved, the staff of the Health Corps will have a better career path, while the structures within the hospitals will be reorganized in such a way as to provide better quality services to the beneficiariesconcluded Mr. Kefalogiannis.
