Brazil recorded 63 deaths by Covid and 4,180 cases of the disease, this Sunday (14). With that, the country reaches 611,318 deaths and 21,955,471 registered cases of Covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic.

The new records of cases and deaths occurred for 24 states. Acre, Amazonas, Amapá, Ceará, Goiás, Mato Grosso do Sul, Paraná, Roraima, Sergipe and Tocantins did not register new deaths in the last 24 hours.

Moving averages of deaths and cases are stable from the previous day. The moving average of deaths is 262 deaths per day – a reduction of 11% compared to the previous 14 days – and that of cases is 11,092 infections.

The statistical resource that seeks to alleviate variations in data, such as those that usually happen on weekends and holidays, is calculated by adding up the deaths in the last seven days and dividing the result by seven.

Country data, collected up to 8 pm, are the result of collaboration between sheet, UOL, O Estado de S. Paulo, Extra, O Globo and G1 to gather and disseminate the numbers related to the pandemic of the new coronavirus. The information is collected by the consortium of press vehicles daily with the state Health Departments.

Covid-19 vaccination data, also collected by the consortium, were updated in 19 states.

Brazil registered 522.147 doses of vaccines against Covid-19, this Sunday. According to data from the state departments of Health, there were 88,410 first doses and 278,333 second ones. 211 single doses and 155,193 booster doses were also recorded.

In all, 156,918,899 people received at least the first dose of a vaccine against Covid in Brazil — 120,837,690 of them have already received the second dose of the immunizing agent.

Added to the single doses of the Janssen vaccine against Covid, there are already 125,380,340 people with a complete vaccination schedule in the country.

Thus, the country already has 73.56% of the population with the 1st dose and 58.78% of Brazilians with a complete vaccination schedule. Considering only the adult population, the values are, respectively, 96.81% and 77.35%.

Even those who completed the vaccination schedule with two doses must maintain basic care, such as wearing a mask and social distance, experts say.

The initiative of the consortium of press vehicles took place in response to the attitudes of the Jair Bolsonaro (non-party) government, which threatened to withhold data, delayed bulletins about the disease and took information off the air, with the interruption of the dissemination of total cases and deaths. In addition, the government released conflicting data.
