“December is a very difficult month, we will have a long-winded 4th wave,” said Athanasios Tsakris, professor of microbiology, speaking on SKAI TV and the show “TODAY”.

Answering a question why this wave is heavy and deadly, the professor explained that Europe has forgotten that autumn is the coronavirus season, just like last year.

According to him, we will also have a problem in hospitals at Christmas, as serious incidents will be added.

“There has been a very sharp rise and then there will be a descent, logically before Christmas,” he added.

According to Mr. Tsakris, we will have this pressure throughout December and “then logically we will have a decline but we also have the winter ahead of us”

As the professor mentioned, the third installment should proceed quickly, while he referred to the example of Israel.

“The vaccine is not to blame, as the months go by the activity passes,” he stressed.

At the same time, Mr. Tsakris estimated that we will enter a 5th epidemic wave in the winter and the vaccinated who will no longer be immune will get sick, as happened in Israel.

“We hope that the virus will become epidemic at some point and there will be fewer cases,” he said.

“The third dose makes better immunity than the second, while it lasts longer compared to the second”, concluded Mr. Tsakris.
