Covid has caused several sectors of the economy to put big plans in the drawer. One of them was the holding of three medicinal events, which should have taken place three years ago, but which will finally be held together, this week – from Tuesday (3) to Thursday (6), at Expo Center Norte, in Sao Paulo. This is the Medical Fair, an international fair of medical, hospital and dental articles, and its unprecedented national cannabis version, the Medical Cannabis Fair, in addition to the Brazilian Congress of Medicinal Cannabis.
The flagship is Medical, a German event, which started in 2018 in Dusseldorf. Currently, the organizing company has 50 fairs in five sectors: machinery, installations, equipment, medical products, health, leisure and beauty. One of its biggest events arrives in Brazil through Emme, with the expectation of attracting 15 thousand visitors.
At the same time, the first national cannabis fair derived from it takes place, which is created in partnership with Sechat, a sectorized content information company. Among the organization’s partners, neurosurgeon Pedro Pierro and businessmen Fernando Pensado and Daniel Jordão. The national event brings together 30 exhibitors, some international, who will come from the USA, Israel and Uruguay, centers known for their scientific and medical investment in the sector.
Entrance to the fair is free, but participation in the congress depends on the purchase of a ticket. It brings together 70 speakers, covering major topics such as research, treatments, history, legislation and business. In the list of debaters, from the investment area, George Waschsmann, CIO of Vitreo, and Enzo Pacheco of Empiricus; from research and health, Pedro Pierro, a reference in the sector for his experience, who has as prescriber and researcher on the subject, Renato Filev and Cynthia de Carlo and the ophthalmologist Claudio Lottenberg; of law, the lawyer Emílio Figueiredo; and products, specialists from Carmen’s Medicinal and VerdeMed are among the highlights.
