The “real weight” of motherhood was only realized by Aline Barbosa after the birth of her second child. Recurring problems with the boy’s health led her to give up her career.
When she got pregnant for the third time, she realized that she stopped prioritizing herself, and after the fourth pregnancy she understood that she was living a toxic relationship and that the constant fights reflected in her children’s behavior. That only changed after the breakup. If on the one hand there was peace, being a single mother brought even more weight to her.
“Each child turned me into a different mother and woman”, says the teacher who is also responsible for Instagram @maecrespa.
In addition to the responsibility for the children, other dilemmas haunted Aline. “My body is totally different and that bothered me for a long time. Today I understand that it tells my whole story”, she says in the documentary M de Mulher Brasileira, produced by Marisa, and which premieres this Tuesday at 8 pm.

“When a woman is called a warrior, it’s because she is very overloaded”, highlights Veronica Oliveira, from @faxinaboa.
The influencer says that the “praise” reveals the cruelty of blaming only the mother for raising children.
In addition to Aline and Veronica, Cris Bartis, from the Mamilos podcast, and the Bahian singer Marcia Castro also talk about individuality after the arrival of children, the burden that most women carry and the power to choose to be a mother.
The first season premieres this Tuesday at 20 pm on Marisa’s YouTube. The series will be divided into themed seasons with four episodes of five to eight minutes each.
