It was during the lock-in that award-winning designer Will Williams saw an opportunity to grow in the horticultural market.

“Interest in outdoor spaces is skyrocketing because so many people work on vacation or while traveling,” said Willy, a gold medalist and former RHS Young Designer of the Year.

“Gardening, a widely accepted hobby for retirees, has become a trend on social media. People wanted a beautiful place to relax, enjoy and connect with nature, but they knew where to start. They didn’t.

After seeing the delivery of a box of dishes cause a national stir in healthy home cooking, Will simply adapted, designed and delivered a spectacular garden that required cultivation, I decided to follow suit.

“The aim was to provide everything you need for an instant designer garden, including lawns, balconies and even window boxes.”

Here Willy shares his design and instantly reveals the perfect flower for a beautiful garden.

Will’s Top Garden Design Tips

The interior style and decoration of your home is a great place to look for inspiration in the garden. I often look at the customer’s kitchen and understand their favorite style and color scheme.

The most important consideration is knowing how bright your garden is. Is it sunny in the south? Or are there many shadows to the north? City gardens are often partially or fully shaded. Find out which plant is best for your garden

The garden is an extension of your home and is an outdoor space where you can relax and enjoy. Seasonal interests are of the utmost importance, as they are often visible from the main room throughout the year.

Think about care. What do you like more, a glass of roses or a handkerchief, on a sunny afternoon? Shrubs and evergreen trees require less maintenance if you want to relax

Perennials that bloom every year are environmentally friendly and worthwhile.

Post it at the front door so you can immediately appeal. This is a classic for good reason, as it instantly updates your driveway.

It is also a sign of success; Additionally, you can use the dark, fragrant leaves in the kitchen for sauces, for making hearths, and as part of a bouquet of garnishes.

You can also make small greenish-yellow flowers in spring and berries in fall. Grind twice during the summer to the desired shape. It blooms both in the sun and in semi-shade.

Reminiscent of lace green, which can turn reddish brown in winter, this fern is an excellent choice for shady ground in areas where plant health is difficult to maintain.

With delicate fan-shaped leaves on shiny black stems, the interesting texture looks great in both borders and pots. I like to be in the shade, but I can handle partial sun.

This smooth, fast-paced ground cover looks like a green carpet in an outdoor space. White little star flowers bloom in spring and summer.

It is also planted in a small pot that spills over the edge and looks sweet. An excellent companion to plants such as olive and laurel, it is excellent for adding outlines and softening textures. Water a little and often.

This aromatic herb is always green (and delicious!). The needle-like leaves are followed by small blue flowers in the summer, which bees will love.

As well as being an important part of the herb garden, it is also excellent due to its dense, aromatic ground cover.

It thrives in the sun and grows fast, keeping it at the desired size so it doesn’t get too woody.

With little attention required, this pine is rarely destroyed, and the architectural value it brings to the garden is astounding.

The prehistoric-looking leaves grow in the most unusual ways, adding colour, structure and texture throughout the year.

As part of the pot collection, it can be planted on the edge or look great in the garden. It does well in direct sunlight, but also in partial shade.

This is one of my favorite plants. The delicate, jewel-like pink flowers are tall with rich green leaves and look beautiful in early summer. Both bees and butterflies love it.

The soft pink and red perspective adds long edges and they work perfectly. I am happy in every way, but more flowers appear in sunnier places.

Ideal for borders (Photo: Provided)

Also known as “angel hair,” this grass regenerates in the wind and adds lots of movement and texture to borders and pots.

I love how the colors change throughout the year. This further enhances the visual interest. In the summer, it also produces feathery seed heads.

Ideal for creating border structures. I love standing in the sun, but it works well in partial shade.
