Weddings are known to be expensive.

According to Hitched, the average cost of a UK wedding in 2021 is around $31,300, so it’s no surprise that you have the right budget.

Weddings seem a bit unattainable and over the top as the cost of living crisis is mounting for many of us.

But what if I told you that it is possible to spend less than 4,000,000 on your special day?

ახ That is true.

Lauren Gil, a 30-year-old elementary school assistant, demonstrates that this can be done without compromising magic.

Lauren claims that a cheap bride will bring many benefits, spending less than 00 3800 on a dream wedding.

Her current husband, Josh, was originally scheduled to get married in 2020, but had to postpone the marriage due to a pandemic.

However, last summer, the couple finally stepped in and said, “I’ll do it.”

A wealthy Yorkshire bride told Diamond Factory how she planned her special day on a reasonable budget.

He explained that he and his future wife had three main goals for their big day. They wanted it to be simple, fun and relaxing.

“I think we’ve definitely nailed it,” he told retailers.

The married couple from the local registry, Barnsley City Hall, held an afternoon ceremony and reception at the local recreation centre.

After Lauren started looking for cheaper options, she explained how keeping a small budget became “really easy.”

She thinks it takes “a little bit of planning and research” to admit this. When I showed people her wedding day photos, she was amazed that they could pull it off on such a small budget.

Rather than spend a fortune on boutique clothing, Lauren chose a stunning dress from a retail store.

“One of the important things that we kept a lot was my wedding dress,” she explained.

“I bought the WED2B dress from a rare store, so it’s a lot cheaper than buying it from a boutique.

“There was a designer who specializes in the tea length dress style that I chose, and I bought my dress for 9,429, while my similar dress is around 15,001,500.”

Wedding dresses aren’t the only place she and Josh have saved a few pennies, as they were able to save money on DIY projects.

Creating wedding invitations, playing card boxes, and cake stands was just part of what they did to save money.

“We did most of the design and assembly ourselves, so we also keep a lot of wedding invitations.

“Invitations are so expensive that it’s a good place to save money, but there are plenty of ways to design your own invitation in whole or in part using tools like Canva and Vistaprint,” said Lauren.

Disney fans, their invitations are designed like Disney Park tickets, and the card boxes they make are like mailboxes from the movie UP! -Made using basic boxes and paint.

Josh and his dad wanted a simple one, including a selection of cupcakes and a cake layer, so they built a cake stand from scratch.

“We decided to start our own sweet dinner instead of renting a candy cart. It also saved us a lot of money.”

Like all of these inexpensive ways to save money and cut wedding costs, they also put up all the decorations themselves, except for the balloons.

Regarding the structure, Lauren explained that she didn’t want to inundate the guests with strict routes.

We wanted to celebrate our love for the people closest to the ruckus. We wanted them to relax. And we wanted them to relax. “

We didn’t have a wedding breakfast (although we did have a rich buffet, sweet dinner and cupcakes), but the guests were able to go wherever they wanted and had a lot of fun with DJs, photo booths and fun casinos. Our guests loved it.

It was messy and quiet, but the couple spent most of their time at the wedding reception.

Now Lauren shared her financial advice to help other couples looking for a clash (Photo: Paul Walker Photo).

“Obviously we pay for the room and then the buffet for the guests.

We also put together a basic decoration package that included balloons and tablecloths and we had a resident DJ.

Therefore, only the basic rooms and food are the most expensive.

With all the landscaping and entertainment added, the reception was also added. This was the largest part of our budget. But it’s still cheaper than many weddings. “

On the back of a successful wedding to save money, Lauren started a blog called Sliffive Ride.

Her blog, with the tagline “Nothing Beautiful, Just Love,” is the perfect place for brides looking for low-budget wedding resources.

And now Lauren has shared her best tips for saving money on your wedding.

Lauren’s Top Tips for Cheap Weddings

  • Research, research, research! Any “wedding” label can be attached to a large amount of money. Think of another place, a photographer trying to create a portfolio, an inappropriate clothing store. All of this saves you money.
  • Don’t think about renting. If you have a really small budget, you don’t want to start a family with debt. To be honest, it’s not worth it. The wedding day is about you and your partner, not how much money you spend. Do what you can.
  • Make a list of what really matters to you and what you are willing to compromise on. For example, the experience of a wedding dress store was important to me, but I wasn’t nervous about going to a boutique, so the store I was interested in was the perfect solution. Taking a video of our day didn’t bother me personally just because of the cost, but we did it because our friends shot the video of the day (for free). With a list like this, it’s easy to see where the savings naturally lie and where others may need a little more planning.
  • Please check the guest list. Of course, the more people you invite, the more expensive it will be. If you want to keep your budget low, make your guest list a little tighter. We reserve it for family and friends only, without involving people we don’t actually see or talk to.
  • See alternative food options. Meals are one of the biggest expenses of a wedding. If you really don’t mind the wedding breakfast, don’t eat it! The format did not match our time, but we have also been able to save huge amounts of money. Buffets, grilled pork, pizzas, and barbecues are cheaper than bridal breakfasts and dinner buffets.
  • Look at the deadline. Starting a wedding in the morning and running all day costs a lot more than something like us. Since we were getting married at 3pm, we were able to go straight to the living room and serve all the guests a meal (buffet), cutting down on entertainment, drinks, canapes and more. Ceremony, wedding breakfast, reception. I didn’t have time to fill.
  • Get help from family and friends. You can save a lot of money by helping your family and friends decorate, bake cakes and change clothes. Obviously, don’t expect free help, but you’ll often get it at a significantly reduced price.
  • Check out locations like eBay and Facebook Marketplace to transact. I only had one bridesmaid, but I was able to get her a new dress (still tagged) on the Facebook marketplace, it was perfect!
  • Create a table to track your budget. I’ve included all the trivial stuff on the spreadsheet and noted the date the full payment is due. It was very convenient to see when I had to pay and how it fit into my budget.
  • Don’t assume you can’t afford the day of your dreams just because your budget is below average. There is absolutely a way to achieve everything. The most important part of wedding planning is remembering why you are getting married. This is key as long as you and your partner are happy with your choice.

“These are your rules because I always say today is your day,” says Lauren.

“After all, nobody cares about your wedding day. You have to be a little selfish and have fun as a couple, not with family and friends.

“If there is a day planned and directed by those around you, you will eventually regret it.”
