The three parents helped transform their garden into a jungle home for more than 100 species of plants, including 25-foot palm trees.

Dr. Simon Olpin has loved nature since he was a child, but was unable to travel the world to see the jungle due to the horror of the fear of flying.

So the consultant’s clinical biochemist decided to move a little closer to home. Thanks to the ample shade of its garden, it is a great place to cool off in heat waves.

Since Dr. Simon planted the first tree from a “small pot” in 1987, his suburban gardens in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, have become an 8,000-square-foot tropical paradise.

He states, “It’s nice to be in the garden on a sunny day because it feels calm and warm and tropical, but it’s not that hot.

If you go out in the sun on a very hot day, you will soon notice the difference, and it can be intolerable.

You can sit in the cool shade and drink wine or tea with your friends. It has a tropical environment in Southeast Asia.

Simon moved from Cambridge to his home in Yorkshire in 1987. His garden was a “blank canvas” and required a lot of “trial and error” to get it right.

Papa said: “I have always been interested in animals, especially when I was little. I was fascinated by everything that crawls.

When I moved to Shefield I was more interested in exotic plants and had a small garden which was a pure white canvas.

“For over 35 years, I’ve been able to bring things like Bhutan and South East Asia into my garden in Yorkshire, which is great, at least for me.

I am afraid of flying and will never visit these fascinating places so I brought some of them back to my home in Shefield.

Dr. Simon’s garden now has around 25 species of bamboo, 3 species of palm trees, 4 species of eucalyptus and hundreds of other trees, shrubs and plants.

It’s built on a small winding road that leads to a thatched-roof hut that he built under two giant 32 grade eucalyptus trees that are up to 85 feet tall.

He states: “It is the worst nightmare for many people. They will be afraid. It is full of bamboo and you have to go through it. But this is not surprising.”

“I have a huge 45 foot tall tree so I need a good neighbor.

“It should be a jungle, and it looks like a jungle. I want to.”

Thanks to his wild garden, Dr. Simon’s children grew up with a love of adventure.

Most of the tall trees are her children, Jay (22), Lily (28), Holly (30), who grew up watching tigers roam the garden paths and having fairies write letters. ) Is greater than.

Dr Simon added: “The garden was a magical place for my whole family. Walking in it is an adventure.

“The trees were actually watching my children grow. He is older than all my children.”
