PARIS (Reuters) – Trade unions are unanimously calling for a new day of mobilization on Tuesday and threatening to put France on hold to prevent the adoption of the government’s pension reform bill, the examination of which began in the Senate on Thursday .

The movement threatens to harden with the multiplication of calls for a renewable strike, which has already started in certain sectors.

Here are the main strike calls and the disruptions expected for this sixth day of national mobilization:

* TRAINS

The SNCF provides for train traffic to be “very severely disrupted” on Tuesday and Wednesday, while the four trade union federations representing the railway group have called for a strike that can be extended from Tuesday.

It recommends to travelers who can cancel or postpone their trips and to favor teleworking on these two days.

For Tuesday, the SNCF provides for the circulation of one TGV in five on average, one TER in five, between one RER in three and one in ten in Ile-de-France, as well as an almost total interruption of intercity traffic.

* RATP

For the Parisian metro, buses and trams, the RATP is counting on numerous disruptions on Tuesday, with in particular between one metro in four and two in three depending on the lines, with for some traffic only at rush hour.

Traffic will also be disrupted on Wednesday, the inter-union of the Paris transport authority having called for a renewable strike from Tuesday.

On Wednesday, traffic will be “almost normal” on the bus and tram network but disrupted for the metros and RERs.

* AIR TRANSPORT

The General Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGAC) has asked airlines to reduce their flights by 20% at Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle airport and by 30% at Paris-Orly for the days of 7 and 8 March in anticipation of new social movements against the pension reform.

The DGAC also calls on travelers to postpone their trip for these two days.

* TEACHING

The main education unions (FSU, UNSA Education, FNEC-FP-FO, Sgen-CFDT, CGT Educ’action, SNALC and SUD Education) have called for “massive strikes” to completely close schools, colleges, high schools and services.

The inter-union also calls on “staff to mobilize on March 8, the international day of struggle for women’s rights, to denounce the major social injustice of this pension reform against women”.

In the first degree, more than 60% of strikers are announced Tuesday with several thousand schools closed, according to the union FSU-SNUipp which calls on teachers to decide on the follow-up to be given to the movement, “including the renewal of the strike” .

* REFINERIES

The CGT Chemistry Federation (Fnic-CGT) has called for a renewable strike from Monday evening March 6 against the pension reform.

Several CGT elected officials told Reuters that the renewable strike actions could very quickly have an impact on supply and create a situation of shortage at the gas pumps.

* ENERGY

EDF agents in nuclear power plants launched a renewable strike on Friday, announced the CGT Mines and Energy (FNME-CGT). This movement has led to a drop in electricity production capacity, which was around 5.2 gigawatts (GW) on Monday, according to the CGT.

* LOGISTICS

On the trucking side, FO Transports and Logistics and the SUD-Solidaires des Transports Routiers transport federation have called on all truck drivers to stop as of Sunday evening at 10 p.m. for an unlimited period.
