(News Bulletin 247) – BMW AG is the first company in Germany to receive high-level certification from the Fair Pay Innovation Lab (FPI).
This document reaffirms the fact that the company’s compensation structures are fair, with no significant difference between the overall compensation of women and men.
The awarding of the Universal Pay Equity Certificate, under the patronage of the German Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Hubertus Heil, was announced by the FPI today, 7 March, on the occasion of the International Day of equal pay.
“The BMW Group believes in performance and reward in fair working conditions and an environment that provides career opportunities for all of our talented employees,” said Ilka Horstmeier, Member of the Board of Management of BMW AG.
“The collective agreements concluded by the trade unions make a valuable contribution in this regard, and we are proud to be honored by this certification,” added Martin Kimmich, Chairman of the General Works Council of BMW AG.
