(News Bulletin 247) – Zalando announces that the number of active customers increased by 6% to more than 51 million last year and Zalando’s loyalty program, Plus, more than doubled the number of its members to reach more than 2 million compared to the previous year.
Key financial figures for 2022 were within the range of the company’s updated guidance.
Gross merchandise volume increased by 3% to €14.8 billion in 2022, with revenue stable at €10.3 billion compared to the previous year. Adjusted earnings before interest and taxes (adjusted EBIT) amounted to 184.6 million euros.
“The fact that we have been able to continue to grow our customer base in the current economic environment shows that our core strategy is working,” said Robert Gentz, co-CEO of Zalando.
To ensure profitable growth in 2023 and beyond, the company will continue to work on improving its margin, simplifying the organization and selectively investing throughout the cycle to take advantage of growth opportunities.
