(News Bulletin 247) – Biogen announced today that the Board of Directors has elected Caroline Dorsa as Chair of the Board of Directors, effective immediately following the company’s 2023 Annual Meeting of Shareholders, scheduled for June 2023.
She succeeds Stelios Papadopoulos, Ph.D., who announced that he will not be standing for re-election to the Board of Directors at the annual meeting.
Stelios Papadopoulos said: ‘The entire Board of Directors has great respect for Caroline and for the contributions she has made during her 13 years in office and as Chair of our Audit Committee. ‘
Caroline Dorsa joined Biogen’s Board of Directors in 2010. She served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Public Service Enterprise Group, a diversified energy company, from 2009 until her retirement in 2015. Previously, she held various financial and operational positions during his 21 years with Merck & Co.
“Biogen is going through a dynamic period and I believe the company is well positioned to deliver long-term sustainable growth,” said Caroline Dorsa.
