(News Bulletin 247) – Bristol Myers Squibb today announced significant progress towards achieving its overall inclusion and diversity goals and health equity commitments, meeting and exceeding certain targets.

In 2020, Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) and the Bristol Myers Squibb Foundation, an independent charity, have pledged $150 million each over five years, for a total of $300 million, to meet the efforts of health equity by 2025.

BMS and the Foundation are on track to achieve many of their goals in four priority areas: health equity, increasing clinical trial diversity, investing in diverse providers, diversifying the workforce business work.

“Inclusion, diversity, and health equity are a critical driver of business performance, one that is everyone’s responsibility,” said Giovanni Caforio, MD, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Bristol Myers Squibb.
