(News Bulletin 247) – Enel announced yesterday its 2022 results and presents a turnover of 140,517 million euros, up + 63.9% compared to 2021 (85,719 million euros in turnover ).
The publication of the final figures for 2022 has demonstrated the group’s ability to straighten its financial trajectory in line with its expectations. Ordinary operating performance came out above guidance,” Oddo said.
Ordinary EBITDA amounted to 19.7 billion euros (+2.5%) and ordinary net income to 5.4 billion euros. The Group’s net income reached 1,682 million euros (3,189 ME in 2021, -47.3%)
The increase is attributable ‘to the combination of thermal generation and trading activities, Enel Green Power, end-user markets and Enel X, as well as the positive performance of Enel Grids’, specifies the Company.
EBITDA was €19,918 million (compared to €17,2331 million in 2021, +15.6%), EBIT was €11,193 million (€7,5511 million in 2021, +48.2%)
The variation mainly reflects ‘the positive performance of operations and the lower value adjustments recorded during the year compared to 2021, which were only partially offset by higher amortizations’, Enel points out.
Capital expenditure was €14,347 million (€12,997 million in 2021, +10.4%).
“Based on these results, we are offering our shareholders a dividend of 0.40 euros per share, an increase compared to last year,” said Francesco Starace, managing director of Enel.
