(News Bulletin 247) – RWE publishes an adjusted net profit of 3.23 billion euros for 2022, a figure more than doubled compared to the previous financial year (1.55 billion euros).

At the same time, that is to say between 2021 and 2022, the group’s adjusted EBITDA also shows a solid increase, rising from 3.62 to 6.31 billion euros, while the adjusted EBIT increases meanwhile from 2.18 to 4.56 billion euros.

Markus Krebber, the general manager of RWE specifies that the company has invested a total of 4.4 billion euros net worldwide and has 30 projects in 11 countries for 2.4 GW of capacity.

‘Other projects with a total capacity of 6 gigawatts are currently under construction,’ adds the manager, who says that RWE now has a leading position in all key regions, namely EU, UK and USA.

For 2023, RWE is targeting adjusted net profit of between €2.2 billion and €2.7 billion, as the company believes optimization gains and energy trading are unlikely to reach the high levels of 2022. elsewhere, EU and UK revenue caps result in lost profits.
