(News Bulletin 247) – Eni announces that it wants to strengthen the market value of its proprietary ‘e-vpms’ technology (for Eni Vibroacoustic Pipeline Monitoring System), dedicated to monitoring the transport of liquids in pipelines.
To this end, the company created Enivibes (76% Eni, 16% Aresys and 8% Solgeo), being the first company created within the framework of the activities of Eniverse, Eni’s Corporate Venture Builder.
‘e-vpms’ technology enables real-time analysis and monitoring on new or existing pipelines through an innovative vibro-acoustic wave system that detects interference such as tampering attempts or pipeline accidental impacts and flow variations.
‘This innovative solution, thanks to the installation of high-sensitivity acquisition stations, allows rapid and localized interventions’, assures Eni.
E-vpms®, currently installed in several fluid transport lines in Italy and abroad, has allowed to significantly reduce break-in attempts and to carry out targeted preventive maintenance, guaranteeing safe and reliable operations.
