(News Bulletin 247) – METabolic Explorer suffered further losses in 2022, the green chemistry group explaining that the climate of crisis has affected its animal nutrition activity.
Its Ebitda for the past financial year thus stood at -29.8 million euros, compared to -2.4 million in 2021 pro forma, in line with forecasts.
The group specifies that this deterioration mainly concerns the animal nutrition segment, the deterioration of the health, geopolitical and energy crises having impacted its sales volumes downwards and the prices of
commodities on the rise.
MetEx says it achieved consolidated revenue of 226.6 million euros in 2022, up 34% compared to 2021.
If the financial year was marked by a drop of nearly 36% in volumes sold, this decline was partly offset by a general increase in the price of its products, he explains in a press release.
Around 2:00 p.m., the title lost more than 4%, accusing one of the most notable declines on the Paris Bourse this Friday.
To explain this decline in the action, the analysts of Invest Securites underlined the absence of numerical forecasts for the new financial year.
“Management does not communicate numerical guidance for 2023, against a backdrop of “recovery of activity in a contrasting and fluctuating context”, indicates the stockbroker in a reaction note.
The group contented itself with explaining that it was expecting a return to good momentum in the animal nutrition segment with the NoovaLife range and in the detergents and biopolymers segment.
According to Invest, the consensus anticipates for 2023 a turnover of 281 million euros for an Ebitda of -4 million euros.
