(News Bulletin 247) – Atos announced on Monday that it has finalized the sale of its activities in Italy to Lutech, an Italian provider of IT services and solutions, on the basis of payment made 100% in cash.
The technology group – which entered into exclusive negotiations with Lutech last November – stresses that this operation marks a new stage in the implementation of its asset disposal program.
Since June 2022, Atos recalls having completed four transactions and signed an additional agreement, thus securing nearly 80% of the 700 million euros of financial products planned under the disposal plan.
The scope of the transaction represents approximately 2% of its total turnover, knowing that the sale does not include the EuroHPC activity in Italy which will be kept within Atos.
It also excludes the activities of Unified Communications & Collaboration in this country, which must be the subject of a separate disposal project.
Following the transaction, the Atos Italia brand is set to become Lutech Advanced Solutions, an entity set to remain a key partner of the group.
In the wake of this announcement, the Atos share rose by 0.6% on Monday morning on the Paris Stock Exchange, in a market up by around 0.4%. The stock has now rallied more than 26% since the start of the year.
