(News Bulletin 247) – Ericsson today announced a three-year extension to its partnership that began 10 years ago with Eastlink. Agreement that will boost 5G mobile network service in the hundreds of communities served by Eastlink.

Following the launch of Eastlink’s 5G network with its Radio Access Network (RAN) last year, Ericsson will begin delivering 3500 MHz midband radios and enhanced core network support for voice and data.

“Continuing our partnership with Ericsson, a global industry leader, will help us deliver the full range of next-generation 5G experiences to our customers,” said Jeff Gillham, CEO of Eastlink.

Eastlink launched its 5G network powered by Ericsson technology in March 2022, with the activation of its first sites in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The two companies have since worked together to build 5G infrastructure.
