(News Bulletin 247) – The U.S. Army has awarded the Javelin Joint Venture (JJV) an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) production contract with a total cap of $7.2 billion for fiscal years 2023 through 2026 for the Javelin weapon system and related equipment and services.
This award includes a base year with funding authorized at $1.02 billion and production ramp support to increase Javelin All Up Round (AUR) production to 3,960 per year by the end of 2026.
The production contract includes supply of Javelin systems and support for the US military and international customers. The contract will also provide tooling, test equipment, and one-time effort (NRE) for the Javelin production ramp that will support increased Javelin production capacity.
“This contract allows us to continue to evolve with our customers’ needs, while increasing production of the Javelin to meet growing international interest in this versatile weapon system,” said Dave Pantano, Vice President of JJV and director of Lockheed Martin’s Javelin program.
