(News Bulletin 247) – Toyota Motor Corporation has announced its financial results for the 2022-2023 fiscal year, which runs from April 1 to March 31.
Turnover of 37,154.2 billion yen (263.50 billion euros) is up by
18.4%.
Operating income decreased by 103.6 billion yen, or 4.5%, to 2,180.6 billion yen in fiscal 2023 compared to fiscal 2022. ‘ The decline in revenue operating is mainly due to the unfavorable impact of soaring material prices.
Cash and cash equivalents increased by 1,403.3 billion yen, or 23.0%, to 7,516.9 billion yen at the end of fiscal 2023 compared to the end of the fiscal year 2022.
The total number of vehicles sold worldwide amounted to 10.558 million units, or 177,000 units more than the previous year.
In Europe, sales increased by 13,000 units to reach 1.030 million vehicles (+1.3%).
Vehicle unit sales in Japan increased by 145,000 units, or 7.5%, to 2,069,000 units in fiscal 2023 compared to fiscal 2022.
