(News Bulletin 247) – Mercedes-Benz Vans has outlined its targeted strategy to target profitable growth in the private and commercial van segments.

The main objectives of this strategy are: to strengthen the position of the brand in the upper segments of the market, to raise the levels of ambition in terms of costs and industrial competitiveness, and to be at the forefront of the industry in terms of electric propulsion and digital experience technology.

In 2023, Mercedes-Benz Vans will offer fully electric variants in all segments, from small to large vans and mid-size vans.

With more than 40,000 electric vans already sold in total, Mercedes-Benz Vans is aiming for strong growth and an EV share of 20% by 2026 and more than 50% by 2030.

“Our plan for Mercedes-Benz is clear: leverage the technology and power of our brand to improve our market positioning and profitability. This applies not only to our luxury car business, but also to our strategy for vans,” said Ola Källenius, Chairman of the Management Board of Mercedes-Benz Group AG.
