(News Bulletin 247) – Christian Leon has been appointed Managing Director of Ericsson France as of June 8, 2023 and replaces Franck Bouetard in his duties at the head of the entity bringing together France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Algeria and Tunisia as well as the Orange Global Customer Unit.

Franck Bouetard has decided to leave Ericsson to pursue other professional opportunities. He will remain with the company for a transition period of a few months.

Aged 48, Christian Leon joined Ericsson in 2010. For more than three years, he held the position of Vice President Networks and Managed Services for Ericsson Europe and Latin America. He is based in Paris.

An engineer by training, Christian Leon has spent a large part of his career in the United States and Sweden in Technology and Sales functions. A graduate of Supélec Paris in 1998, he was an officer in the French navy.

As part of his new role, Christian Leon’s priorities will be to pursue the company’s strategic plan, continue to develop the France R&D center and support the deployment of 5G connectivity for businesses and the general public.
