(News Bulletin 247) – Teleperformance announced on Tuesday the signing of a multi-year, $185 million contract with Microsoft providing, among other things, for the deployment of Azure’s artificial intelligence (AI) functionalities.
The French customer relationship outsourcing giant explains that the agreement will allow it to launch the ‘TP GenAI’ suite, a set of AI-related solutions to improve the customer experience.
According to Daniel Julien, CEO of Teleperformance, the goal is to combine large language model (LLM) technology with human sensitivity in order to offer more personalized services.
The ‘TP GenAI’ suite should include ‘TP Interact’, an interaction platform for conducting audio and digital conversations, the ‘TP Digital Floorwalker’ chatbot and ‘StoryfAI’, a translation engine in more than 100 languages.
Teleperformance also says it wants to use ‘TP GenAI’ to optimize its internal businesses, such as human resources, recruitment, finance or training.
Teleperformance shares, which had fallen sharply in recent months due to the threat posed by the rise of AI on its activities, fell 0.5% on Tuesday despite these announcements.
