(News Bulletin 247) – Toyota announces that its service for adding options and upgrading vehicles is now available in Japan.
In concrete terms, this service enables Toyota customers to quickly integrate the manufacturer’s latest technological innovations into their vehicle. The service is currently available for the Prius U Grade.
Customers can thus take advantage of the latest safety devices and functions that were not yet available when they purchased their car, such as the ‘Advanced Park’ driving assistance function, but also a screen allowing blind spot, a panoramic view monitor, a parking assistance brake (rear pedestrian detection) or even the heated steering wheel.
All of these options are now available as part of these post-purchase upgrades.
“We are considering expanding the upgrade menu to include big screen audio, heated seats, seat ventilation and synthetic leather seats to meet customer needs,” the automaker says.
Upgrade service requests will be handled through the dedicated KINTO Unlimited smartphone app.
