(News Bulletin 247) – Ford France has announced that it is joining forces with Arval, a major player in the rental of company vehicles in France, to support Chronopost in the transformation of its fleet.

Thus, in order to reduce the impact of its activity and optimize its deliveries, Chronopost is committed to sustainable urban logistics and focuses its efforts on the last mile. Deliveries to 67 cities are made 100% by low-emission vehicles.

By 2025, Chronopost’s objective is for 50% of deliveries to be made by low-emission vehicles.

To date, the Chronopost fleet has around 200 low-emission heavy goods vehicles, representing 200 connections per day. By 2025, Chronopost aims to achieve 25% of its shipments using eco-responsible means of transport and alternative fuels.

In this context, Ford delivered the first electric Transits on May 16 at its Saint-Denis dealership. On this occasion, the deliverers came to pick up their new vehicle and received advice from Arval on their rental contract and associated services. Throughout May, 10 electric Ford Transit vehicles completed the Chronopost fleet.
