The candidate of the socialist party emerged as the winner in the vote for the election of the chairman of the municipal council in Heimarra. The new president received 13 votes against 8 for the candidate of Fredis Beleris’ coalition, as published by himara.
Then, during the meeting, the new president refused to read a document of Fredis Beleris presented by his lawyer, according to which he is absent due to his imprisonment and it is not his choice.

The meeting is closely watched by the ambassador of Greece in Tirana, Konstantina Kamitsi, and the president of the KEAD and member of the Albanian parliament, Vangelis Dules.
There had been tension when, before the meeting, police forces had prevented Beleris supporters from entering the hall.
