(News Bulletin 247) – Technip Energies announced on Wednesday that it has been selected by the Saudi oil company Aramco for a project management consultancy (PMC) contract for the master plan of a new industrial city located in eastern ‘Saudi Arabia.

As part of the Kingdom’s ‘Vision 2030’ program, for which Aramco is a strategic partner, the city of Ras Al Khair is intended to host a set of investments in low-carbon projects.

The master plan will include various studies, including optimum land use, site preparation assessment, export terminal assessment, and baseline environmental assessment.

The agreement must also cover the evaluation of the hydrocarbon supply, the engagement of third parties, the constructability of the area and the modularization center.

These studies will determine the scope and execution plan of the program for all civil, maritime, telecommunications and industrial infrastructures that will support these industrial projects, indicates Technip.

In addition, the contract includes a number of PMC studies for the execution of the liquids-to-chemicals program, an initiative to transform part of the oil and gas production into high value-added chemicals. .

This program concerns all of Aramco’s main hubs, as well as the new development in the Ras Al Khair region.

The Technip Energies share rose 0.7% on Wednesday morning on the Paris Stock Exchange following this announcement, compared with a decline of 0.3% for the SBF 120 index.
