(News Bulletin 247) – Alstom today reveals the scale of its economic impact on the UK and Ireland: according to EY’s economic impact report, Alstom has supported a contribution of nearly one billion sterling to the GDP of the UK and Ireland in the financial year 2022/23.
The report also reveals that the train builder works with 1,144 UK and Irish suppliers and supports over 17,000 jobs.
Alstom plays a central role in the UK rail industry, delivering some of the country’s largest rail programs from its Derby headquarters and 36 additional sites in the UK and Ireland.
