(News Bulletin 247) – Nokia announced on Thursday that it had expanded its offer for American operators with the launch of a new unified ‘box’ making it easy to deploy broadband networks.

The Finnish group explains that this ‘all-in-one’ solution is particularly intended for participants in the ‘BEAD’ program, a federal project with a budget of 42 billion dollars aimed at reducing the digital divide in the United States.

According to Nokia, the objective is to enable operators wishing to participate in this gigantic infrastructure plan to build and rapidly deploy broadband networks.

Its ‘pack’ thus includes IP routers, optical network terminals, fiber boxes, Wi-Fi access points as well as a whole suite of services and software.

Because the ‘BEAD’ program includes domestic manufacturing requirements, Nokia announced this week its intention to produce its fiber optic equipment and modules in the United States.

Nokia, which is looking to expand on the artificial intelligence front, also unveiled the results of a survey it commissioned from Analysys Mason yesterday, showing that 87% of operators have already started deploying AI in the world. within their network functionality.
