(News Bulletin 247) – Google, the main subsidiary of Alphabet, announced on Tuesday at the Google Cloud Next ’23 conference a series of contracts, notably in artificial intelligence with the automotive group GM.

General Motors and Google Cloud today revealed new details about how they have worked together to bring Google’s conversational AI technology to millions of GM vehicles.

Since its launch in 2022, GM’s OnStar interactive virtual assistant has been powered by advanced algorithms that use Google Cloud’s conversational AI technologies, for queries like navigation assistance.

The Internet giant has formalized other agreements in the field of artificial intelligence with the cosmetics group Estée Lauder, the appliance manufacturer GE, the television network Fox Sports or the theme park specialists Six Flags .

Google Cloud also announced that it will deepen its long-term strategic partnership with German enterprise software company SAP to now include topics such as data analytics and generative AI.
