(Reuters) – Eiffage reported on Tuesday a 10.4% increase in its half-year turnover, supported in particular by the good performance of its works and concessions segments.

The French group achieved a turnover of 10.43 billion euros in the first half against 9.45 billion over the same period last year, its works division having experienced growth in all branches and that of concessions having benefited from the increase in motorway and airport traffic.

Revenue from Eiffage’s concessions activity increased by 10.2% on an actual basis to 1.76 billion euros and that of its works activity, which includes construction, infrastructure and systems energy, rose 10.4% to 8.68 billion euros.

In real estate, on the other hand, turnover fell by 16%.

“The trends observed in 2022 in France are confirmed: fall in new housing partially offset by residential renovation and new construction of public and industrial facilities,” the group said.

The marketing of housing has slowed sharply and stands at 710 units in the first half of 2023 against 1,519 a year ago.

Eiffage also confirmed its outlook for 2023.
