(News Bulletin 247) – Miliboo announced on Friday a return to profitability in the second half thanks in particular to good control of its expenses.

The specialist in the design and sale of designer furniture on the Internet posted positive EBITDA of 700,000 euros in the second half of its 2022/2023 financial year.

The group says it has been able to adapt to inflationary pressures, in particular on its purchasing costs, and has demonstrated responsiveness by adjusting its commercial policy and controlling all of its costs while gaining market share.

This performance allows it to limit its annual operating loss (EBITDA) to -900,000 euros, after a shortfall of 1.6 million euros in the first half.

Its annual turnover stands at 42.3 million euros, up 8%, despite a market deemed unfavorable for household consumption.

In an “always complex” environment, Miliboo indicates that it intends to continue in 2023-24 its profitable growth trajectory initiated in the second half of 2022-23.

The group says it is aiming for moderate but qualitative growth, with a priority still focused on the sustainable restoration of the gross margin and the control of expenses.

On the Paris Stock Exchange, the title gained more than 3% following this publication.
