(News Bulletin 247) – Euronext’s Scientific Council has announced the outcome of its September review of the Paris Stock Exchange indices. No change on the CAC 40 but a big facelift for the SBF 120.
The SBF 120 will experience some upheavals in the coming days. The scientific council of Euronext, the operator of the Paris Stock Exchange, published Thursday evening its quarterly review of the composition of the various indices of the place.
No change is to be noted for the CAC 40. On the other hand, the SBF 120, the second flagship index of the Paris Stock Exchange, will experience significant changes with three entrants and three leavers. These changes will occur at the close of Friday, September 15 (and will therefore be visible at the opening of Monday, September 18).

A short-lived presence by Antin and Altarea
On the departures side, the Casino action will leave the ship. In difficulty, the distributor is currently in the conciliation procedure with its creditors and at the end of July reached an agreement in principle with some of them on the takeover offer from businessmen Daniel Kretinsky and Marc Ladreit de Lacharrière, associated with the Attestor funds. The financial restructuring of the company will result in a strong dilution for its shareholders and, since the beginning of the year, Casino shares have lost 78.6%.
Beyond the distributor, the private equity firm Antin Infrastructures Partners (-34.8% since the beginning) and the real estate company Altarea (-28.3%) will also leave the SBF 120. They respectively entered this index in September and March 2022.
To replace them, the Scientific Council has chosen X-Fab (+46.7% since the start of the year), a foundry manufacturer of semiconductors, Argan (-3.8%), a property company specializing in the development and rental of warehouses, as well as Lectra (-20.17%), a group which produces systems for cutting flexible materials (fabrics, fired materials) for fashion, automotive and furniture.
