The Ministry of Labor and Social Security provides clarifications on the implementation of the measure of the suspension of employment contracts of employees in companies affected by the August fires.

In particular, following the press release of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security from 1/9/2023 and the relevant announcement posted on the “ERGANI” Information System, areas affected by the August fires are being filled in.

The companies-employers belonging to the following areas submit responsible declarations of suspension of their employees’ employment contracts, in accordance with the instructions of the above announcement and within the deadlines set therein, for the months of August and September 2023:

a. The companies-employers belonging to the administrative boundaries of the regions:

of the municipal unit of Kyriaki and the municipal communities of Agia Triada and Agia Anna of the municipal unit of Koroneia of the municipality of Levadea of ​​the Regional Unit of Boeotia of the Region of Central Greece (21/8/2023) may suspend the employment contracts of their employees who had hired, until 8/20/2023, from 8/21/2023.

b. The companies-employers belonging to the administrative boundaries of the regions:

of the municipal community of Steiri, of the municipal unit of Distomo, of the municipality of Distomo-Arachova-Antikyra, of the Regional Unit of Boeotia of the Region of Central Greece, may suspend the employment contracts of their employees who were hired, until 22/8/2023, from 23 /8/2023.

c. The companies-employers belonging to the administrative boundaries of the regions:

of the municipal unit of Hydrousa of the municipality of Andros and the regional unit of Andros of the South Aegean Region may suspend the employment contracts of their employees who were hired until 8/25/2023, from 8/26/2023.

For the aforementioned declaration of suspension of employment contracts, each affected company-employer, depending on the administrative region to which it belongs, chooses in the P.S. “WORK” one of the following special cases in Special Purpose declarations/Declarations of Suspension of Employment Contracts/Declaration of Suspension of Employment Contracts from 1/8/2020 onwards:

i. Businesses-employers affected by fires of 21/8/2023, 22/8/2023 and 23/8/2023, in the areas belonging to the Regional Units of Rodopi, Evros, Kavala, Evia, Viotia & Western Attica.

NOTE: The special case vi of the previous notice is completed with the date 8/23/2023.

ii. Businesses-employers affected by the fires of 26/8/2023 in the areas belonging to the Andros Regional Unit.
