PARIS (Reuters) – Former Secretary of State Laurent Pietraszewski will be chairman of the board of directors of Casino in the new governance which will be put in place following the restructuring, the group said on Tuesday evening.
In a press release, Casino declared that the Financial Markets Authority (AMF) approved during the day the prospectus relating to the operations relating to the group’s capital provided for by the accelerated safeguard plan, which was validated on February 26 by the Paris commercial court.
The arrival of the consortium led by Czech billionaire Daniel Kretinsky will put an end to thirty years of reign of Jean-Charles Naouri over the company, a departure which will be immediate on the date of completion of the financial restructuring, it is noted in the communicated.
Laurent Pietraszewski will head the new board of directors, which will also be composed of Philippe Palazzi, future general manager and administrator, four directors and two censors, Casino reported.
It will be proposed to the next general meeting to ratify these appointments, in accordance with the group’s statutes, he said.
