(News Bulletin 247) – The London stock exchange encountered difficulties with its market information broadcast service due to this technical incident. In the afternoon, the display was still disrupted.
The display of the variation of the London Stock Exchange, delayed on Friday at the opening by a global computer failure affecting many sectors across the world, was again inoperative on Friday early afternoon.
The FTSE Russell team, a subsidiary of the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), “experienced a service interruption which impacts all its indices” and is “currently working on a resolution” of the problem, the technical teams of the London Stock Exchange told AFP.
On the other hand, the listing of companies on the various indices of the London Stock Exchange was working on Friday afternoon, noted an AFP journalist.
The RNS stock market information service, which was down on Friday morning, has “been restored and is now operating normally,” a spokesperson for the LSEG also indicated.
The FTSE 100, London’s main index, had not been updated since 12:54 p.m. French time, when it was down 0.53% at 8,161.28 points.
