PARIS/HONG KONG (Reuters) – Chinese conglomerate Fosun International Ltd has recruited Philippe Heim as co-financial director.
Philippe Heim left La Banque Postale, the banking subsidiary of the French postal group, last year, three years after taking up his position as chairman of the management board. He was also one of the main managers of Société Générale, the third French bank listed on the stock exchange.
Fosun confirmed the appointment in a statement to Reuters, adding that Philippe Heim would be based in Hong Kong and had taken up the role on November 15. The company has several co-financial directors.
Philippe Heim played a key role in La Banque Postale’s acquisition of insurer CNP Assurances for €5.5 billion, with the aim of diversifying the bank’s activities and expanding internationally. international.
Fosun, known for being one of the most active groups on the M&A front, has stepped up efforts in recent years to shed non-core assets as investors worry about its debt levels. .
