(Reuters) – New car registrations in France decreased in April by 5.64% at an annual rate, according to data communicated Thursday by the automotive platform (PFA) which show a new fall for Tesla.
He registered 138,694 private vehicles in France last month, the PFA reported. April counted 21 working days this year, as last year.
Over the first four months of the year, the market recorded a drop of 7.28% over one year, with 548,779 registrations, show the data.
For Tesla, faced with the degradation of the image of its director general Elon Musk, the debacle continues with a fall of 59.45% at only 863 units. Since the start of the year, Tesla’s fall in sales was 43.98% against 7.28% for the French market.
New car registrations of the Stellantis group, which notably brings together the Peugeot, Citroën, DS and Opel brands, fell 12.27% last month compared to a year earlier.
The Renault group (Brands Renault, Dacia and Alpine) saw its registrations in France increased by 2.13% at an annual rate in April.
