(Reuters) – The New York Stock Exchange opened on low variations on Wednesday, the wait -and -see wait and prevailing before Nvidia’s results and the report of the last meeting of the American central bank later during the day.
In the first exchanges, the Dow Jones index earns 32.03 points, or 0.08% to 42,375.68 points and the Standard & Poor’s 500, wider, increased from 0.17% to 5,931.82 points.
The Nasdaq Composite takes 0.24%, or 45.73 points, to 19,244.89 points.
Investors contain Wednesday the euphoria aroused the day before by the appeasement of trade tensions between Washington and Brussels, and adopt a cautious attitude before the two key events of the day: the publication of the “minutes” of the Federal Reserve (Fed) and the quarterly results of Nvidia.
The American artificial intelligence giant should announce an increase of 66.2% of its quarterly turnover, according to data compiled by LSEG, and the markets will be attentive to any comments on the cost of restrictions imposed by the United States on China in the sensitive field of electronic chips.
Investors also await the report of the last Fed meeting, during which the central bank maintained the loan costs unchanged and prevented increased risks regarding inflation and unemployment for the first world economy.
At values, Nvidia grabbed 0.02% in the first exchanges.
Capri Holdings Ltd advances 9.6% after beating expectations with its fourth quarter turnover.
