(BFM Stock Exchange)-The independent French publisher confirms its annual objectives, after a historic start of the year carried by the excellent start of the Roadcraft game and the quasi-desktop of its back-catalog.

The French video game publisher Poulup Entertainment finds its best level on the stock market of the year on Thursday July 17 following the publication of its activity point for its first quarter enclosed in late June.

On the Paris Stock Exchange, the former Home Interactive Home leaps from 16% to 23 euros around 3:20 p.m. after announcing the start of the year above expectations.

A “Canon” start to the year

Over the period of April to June, Poulup Entertainment recorded a turnover of 79.3 million euros, which marks growth of 132% over a year. The group specifies that this level of sales is 23% higher than the previous record of 64.3 million euros which had been established in the first quarter of 2020-2021 during the exceptional period of containment and which had also benefited from the launch of several games including Snowrunner.

For TP ICAP Midcap, the start of the year of Poulup Entertainment is simply “canon”.

This growth, which is certainly impressive, benefits from a favorable comparison effect since Poulup Entertainment had not launched important titles over the first three months of its 2024-2025 exercise.

“Despite this easy basic effect, the performance remains exceptional since it is the biggest first quarter in the history of the group, in front of the first quarter of 2020-21 (64.3 million euros) which had however benefited from the containment measures and the launch of several games including Snowrunner”, notes Corentin Marty, the analyst in charge of the coverage of the title at TP ICAP Midcap.

The group benefited from several gaming launches over the period, which allowed the group to generate 18.6 million euros in turnover, against symbolic income of 100,000 euros last year at the same time.

Whose successful launch and beyond the expectations of the Roadcraft group, in which the player is at the head of a construction company and must restore sites devastated by natural disasters using site vehicles. Pullup Entertainment adds that this game is among the best launches in society’s history.

TP ICAP Midcap recalls that the group had already communicated last month on more than 600,000 unique players for Roadcraft.

This good performance is also linked to “back-catalog”, that is to say the income from games already out (sales of games proper but also additional contents such as DLC). The turnover from these titles already leaving jumped 91% over a year to reach 58.4 million euros. Pullup Entertainment indicates that it is a “record level all quarters combined” and that this performance was carried by the Warhammer 40,000 titles: Space Marine 2 and, to a lesser extent, by train SIM World 5, Drova and several other live titles such as Snowrunner and Void Crew.

Unlike better known actors like Ubisoft – also listed on the Paris Stock Exchange -, Poulup Entertainment publishes AA games. These games are defined as productions in the capped budget, with a lower level of technical ambition towards the so-called “triple a” or “AAA” blockbusters, but placed on carrier niches.

Reducted perspectives

After this storm start, Poulup Entertainment confirms all of its financial objectives. The group intends to exceed its previous record performance established during the financial year 2022/2023 in turnover and adjusted operating profit (EBITA) over the financial year.

The 2025/2026 exercise will notably be carried by a high-growing back-catalogue as well as by a notable progression of the turnover of Dotemu, a French publisher and developer acquired by Pollup Entertainment in 2021 and which specializes in the reinvention of retro games as a Mutant Ninja Turtles teenage: Shredder’s Revenge or Streets of Rage 4.

“On the second quarter, Dotemu will notably launch Ninja Gaiden: Ragebounde and Abyssus. Demos of these games, in addition to those of Absolutem and Memories in Orbit, were presented during the Steam Neo Fest. All the demos ranked in the top 50 of the most played on more than 2,000 demos in total with a rate of positive opinions between 85% and 93%” Midcap. . In addition, the group confirms to expect to deliver growth in its adjusted Ebit on the financial year 2026/2027 and 2027/2028.

This “Canon” publication leads TP ICAP Midcap to raise its 2025/2026 scenario, now tabling on a turnover of 270 million euros, compared to 240 million euros previously. The design office also raises its price of course at 36 euros, while renewing its recommendation for purchase on Poulup Entertainment.
