(BFM Stock Exchange) – The Parisian index evolves in sharp rise this Tuesday, July 29, supported by the good results of Essilorluxottica and Air Liquide as well as by the progression of aeronautics.
The Paris Stock Exchange starts from the front this Tuesday, July 29. Its main index, the CAC 40 takes 1.44% to 7,913.30 points at mid-session.
The market is recovering from the disappointment linked to the agreement between Europe and the United States on customs duties. First of all, on the rise, European scholarships finished down on Monday following the announcement of this “deal”. The CAC 40 finished the withdrawal session by 0.4%.
“What had started as a relief on Sunday quickly turned into frustration on Monday, when the idea spread that the European Union had failed to obtain significant concessions from the United States,” said Deutsche Bank.
The German bank estimates that the rate of 15% customs duties inflicted on European imports should observe the gross domestic product in the euro zone of 0.5 percentage points in full year.

Essilorluxottica in shape
The market will now turn its attention to the monetary policy meeting of the American Federal Reserve (Fed) which begins this Tuesday and will end on Wednesday. Economists expect a status quo from the American central bank.
The CAC 40 is mainly carried by good business results this Tuesday. Essilorluxottica, one of the largest stock market capitalizations in the index, takes 7% after delivering half -line results with expectations and gave encouraging indications for the second semester.
Air Liquide wins 2.6% while the group’s profitability increased faster than hoped by analysts in the first half.
Orange takes 2.2% while the telecoms group has unveiled “robust results which augur a new increase in the dividend”, according to the independent AlphaValue design office.
Conversely Stellantis Reperd 2.1% after revealing disappointing prospects for the second half of 2025.
Safran and Airbus are also well oriented, taking 3.4% and 2.3% respectively. In a note published on Tuesday, Royal Bank of Canada wrote that Safran, which will later publish its half -yearly results this week, raises its objectives for 2025.
Excluding CAC 40, Rexel takes 5.9% after publishing growth greater than expectations in the first half.
TF1 also wins 5% after publishing a little better activity than waiting in the second quarter thanks to the acceleration of its TF1+streaming platform.
In other markets, the euro lost 0.1% against the dollar at 1.1576 dollars. Oil is gaining ground. The September contract on the Brent de Mer of the North advances 0.6% to 69.70 dollars while the same maturity on the WTI listed in New York takes 0.6% at 67.09 Dollars per barrel.
