(Reuters) – M6 announced on Tuesday that it anticipated a weakening of its advertising revenue in the final months of 2025, while reporting a 3.4% drop in its turnover in the third quarter despite the acceleration of streaming.
“Political uncertainty should weigh on the country’s economic activity at the end of the year,” underlines the French television group in a press release, adding to anticipate “a decline in the TV advertising market in the last quarter of 2025”.
M6’s consolidated turnover stood at 269.2 million euros for the quarter ended September 30, compared to 278.8 million euros a year earlier.
Non-advertising revenues fell by 14.3% to 48.5 million euros, with the group citing “the lower dynamism of production and audiovisual rights activities after a historic year in 2024 as well as still weak real estate activity in France”.
However, streaming revenue increased by 25% to 24.4 million euros, representing 11.5% of the Video division’s total revenue in the third quarter compared to 9.0% in 2024.
The group has also re-confirmed its streaming revenue target of more than 200 million euros in 2028.
