Countdown for the Panhellenic Examinations

by

They start this week the Panhellenic Examinations. In particular, the candidates of the General Lyceums (GEL) are examined on Thursday, June 3 in Modern Greek Language and Literature and Vocational High Schools (EPAL) on Wednesday, June 2, in Modern Greek.

«This year is the first year we are closer to the pre-covenant era. The children are calmer and better prepared“, Reports in ο Thanasis Stavrianopoulosphilologist, Coordinator of the Department of Humanities at the Social Tutoring Center of Agios Dimitrios.

In the last two years, only Panhellenic exams were held, while this year both promotional and graduation exams were held in the Gymnasium and the Lyceum. For this reason, in combination with the introduction of the Themes Bank in the A ‘and B’ Lyceums, Mr. Stavrianopoulos expects, “that the issues may be more difficult, because more weight will be given to the Panhellenic ones”.

Also, in the previous two years the material was smaller, this year it is “massive in all directions”, explains Mr. Stavrianopoulos.

It also recommends good preparation in all courses. «Δwe can not talk about SOS and anti-SOS pieces of matter. Probably a little more attention to pieces that were out of the question in previous years».

The number of students admitted to universities this year is 68,394, about 10% less than last year (77,415). The above number does not include the positions of successful candidates in the military, firefighting, police, port schools and in the merchant navy, describes in APE-MPE Anastasia Vrettou, Career Counselor, Coordinator of Counseling and Vocational Guidance.

Ms. Brettou describes some changes that will take effect this year, compared to last year:

Each candidate for each school will have different points, because the coefficient of weight of the Minimum Admission Base (EBE) is different in each school, as each department can set its own weight coefficients for each course. 393 Schools have kept the same weight as last year.

On the other hand, some Departments, for example Agricultural Amaliada, Tower Museology, Department of Business Administration of Agricultural Products and Food of Agrinio, will not accept students this year.

In the 1st Scientific Field the candidates will be examined in Latin, instead of Sociology.

The double computer will not be valid this year either, points out Mrs. Brettou. The candidates will have a computer program for the universities and a parallel one for admission to the Public Vocational Schools.

The Panhellenic Games will end on June 10 for the students of GEL and on June 17 for the students of EPAL. The Special Courses will be examined on June 18-30.

Students must arrive at the examination halls by 08:00. The exams start at 08:30, common for day and evening Lyceum candidates.

The duration of each course is three hours. The exam material and the topics of the exams are common for all the candidates of day and evening GEL.

It is recalled that during the examinations, examinees and examiners must wear the protective mask.
