A serious car accident occurred shortly after midnight on Tuesday on Al. Papanastasiou, in eastern Thessaloniki. A 26-year-old driver was injured and taken to hospital. The driver who caused the accident is wanted, as the vehicle he was driving had stolen it!

The car accident occurred at 00:25. According to his information thestival, a 16-seater bus was thrown at speed on Al. Papanastasiou from Archimidous Street. It collided sideways with a car, which at that time was moving on Al. Papanastasiou. As a result of the collision, the car overturned and overturned. The 26-year-old driver managed to get out of the vehicle alone. He was slightly injured. An EKAB ambulance rushed to the spot and picked him up to transport him to Papanikolaou hospital.

The driver of the mini bus, as soon as he realized what had happened, fled. Some passers-by tried in vain to stop him. It became “smoke”. As it turned out later, the reason he put it on his feet was because the 16-seater was not his. He had stolen it ten minutes earlier from K. Karamanlis Avenue.

The collision also damaged three parked cars. The 16-seater bus belongs to a clinic located in the Municipality of Thermi. The vehicle driven by the 26-year-old belongs to a car rental company. Preliminary investigation for the incident is carried out by the Thessaloniki Traffic Police.
